The Court Garden Hotel is a three-star hotel in the Zeeheldenkwartier. It is the first ecodesigned in the Netherlands. For its efforts, the hotel has received the ecolabel “The Green Key” as well as several other certifications.
Why sustainable?
One of the hotel’s goals is to reduce its carbon footprint and its environmental impact. To achieve this, the hotel implements different initiatives, including the use of green energy and energy saving measures both throughout the building and within each room. Additionally, all the food consists of fair-trade products and there is a green roof picking garden.
Affordable and Clean Energy: the whole hotel uses green energy from renewable resources.
Sustainable Cities and Communities: the green roof garden of the hotel increases the sustainabilty of the building and gets people involved.
Responsible Consumption and Production: the hotel relies on fair-trade products for food and drinks, which promotes responsible consumerism.
