Groene Regentes is an initiative of the residents of the neighbourhoods Regentessewijk, Valkenbos and Segbroek. They tackle all kinds of sustainable and green projects for their neighbourhoods. Some examples are: providing information on energy, composting, hives, buying solar panels, researching the possibilities of wind energy, removing litter, having a collection point for regional products, and introducing more city gardens.
Why sustainable?
The residents make their own direct environment greener and more sustainable by collectively investing in renewable energy and the sharing of products and information. Moreover, the neighborhoods are quite literally greener and cleaner by removing litter and placing city gardens.
Affordable and Clean Energy: De Groene Regentes has already invested in many solar panels and is looking into wind energy. By investing collectively the transition is more affordable.
Sustainable Cities and Communities: The community (and part of the city The Hague) is made more sustainable by acting collectively in a variety of projects.
