DGBC is an independent social organization, leading in the transition to a future-proof built environment. Additionally, it is also a member of the World Green Building Council. This future-proof environment allows for future generations to live and work in pleasant and healthy conditions.
Why sustainable?
The four central themes to achieve DGBC's vision are: CO2 reduction, circular construction economy and healthy and climate resilient buildings and areas. This is done by connecting users to sustainable stakeholders, sharing knowledge, education, developing tools and initiating research.
Good health and well-being: The DGBC's buildings meet health requirements for air quality, daylight and thermal comfort,and also provide quality of life through presence of greenery.
Sustainable Cities and Communities: Dutch Green Building Council reduces CO2 emissions during production and minimizes the impact of the construction sector in the Netherlands.
Responsible Consumption and Production: The council aimsto stop the exploitation of raw materials, driving the transition to a circular construction economy.
