Fast & Vegan is a vegan restaurant located directly in the city center of The Hague. It offers tasty, fast, and simple food without any animal products. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday and only has breakfast and lunch options. Everything on the menu is 100% plant-based. The restaurant is also very welcoming and comfortable.
Why sustainable?
Jurriaan de Bruijn and Alexandra Stevens, the owners of Fast & Vegan, want to show that it is possible to eat without damaging the environment. Therefore, the restaurant only uses plant-based products. This makes the restaurant sustainable because plant-based products use less water, emit fewer greenhouse gasses, and are often considered healthier than animal products.
Climate Action: Fast & Vegan helps to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions produced by the meat industry by serving vegan meals.
Life Under Water:Fast & Vegan's menu does not offer fish, which protects the ocean from overfishing to maintain marine biodiversity.
Life on Land: Fast & Vegan's only uses plant-based products, which require less land than what is needed for meat production. This could reduce deforestation and leave space for natural land.
