With three full floors, RataPlan Den Haag is the biggest thrift shop in the Netherlands and operates since 2017. It is one of the 26 RataPlan thrift shops in the country. It sells a variety of second-hand goods (furniture, clothing, kitchenware, books…).
Why sustainable?
RataPlan The Hague is a sustainable initiative which practices circular economy by giving a second life to objects and collaborating with recycling companies. It is also a social initiative that brings volunteers and employees together and contributes to reintegration in the labor market.
Sustainable communities and cities: RataPlan does not limit itself to a shop. It contributes to the social rehabilitation of people in the labor market, in collaboration with the municipality.
Responsible consumption and production: The shop offers affordable repairs. The goods (clothes, games, kitchenware, CDs…)that are sold at RataPlan are all secondhand.
