Why sustainable?
Veggies on Fire is a sustainable restaurant (certified organic GOLD by EKO Horeca) because it only uses plant-based products in their meals. In doing so, they combat biodiversity loss and elinminate animal suffering. Furthermore, the usage of plant-based products leads to a reduction of CO2 emissions, which are emitted during the production of animal products. Their kitchen is also palm oil free. This ensures sustainable consumption, whilst also combatting the human influence on climate change. Inside, all of the furniture is second-hand and painted with flaxseed oil or organic vegan plants. The restaurant utilizes wind energy and employs LED lights.
Responsible Consumption and Production: Veggies on Fire prepares all food in the restaurant itself and does not use any semi-manufactured products.
Climate Action: Veggies on Fire exclusively serves vegan food, minimizing the carbon footprint of the food they serve. They collect their green waste and dispose paper, glass, and plastic separately.
Life on Land: Veggies on Fire exclusively serves vegan meals, so lessland is required for the production oftheir food, as meat production requires more land than the production of plant-based products.
